Brown Tassels

Cap and gowns come in tomorrow, and I’m taking this opportunity to get a little sentimental. 1 BFA Exhibit, 4 years, 22 studio courses, 142 hours of credit, and countless exams, projects, papers, and assignments culminate in a 2 hour ceremony and an 8″x10″ sheet of paper denoting my time in this place. I’ve lived on this hilltop for the last 4 years, and next week that all comes to an end.  With the end of my BFA Exhibit and the beginning of the end of the year festivities, awards ceremonies and farewell dinners, I’m slowly coming to the realization that my time here is coming to a close. I’m not sad though just bewildered that it passed as quickly as it did.

If I shared a moment with you on the Hilltop, thank you for making this place what it is. It is those experiences that have prepared me to move forward. Picking up and moving my life to a whole new area for this next adventure.
